All of the Main Sessions for our small-group prep courses are in-person!
The one hour 1-on-1 Orientation Session with each student can either be in-person or online for Tulsa-area students and will be online for students from all other cities.
First, my performance on these standardized tests when I was in high school (ACT: 36 - SAT: 1540 - PSAT: 223) demonstrate a mastery of the material and test-taking strategies required to excel in this environment.
Second, my courses go beyond just the mechanics of how to solves each problem and are geared toward motivating and equipping each student to effectively study on their own time in between the Main Session and the test date.
For most students, I recommend taking my class or starting 1-on-1 tutoring approximately 1-2 months before your test date.
However, this is not a universal rule! If your student plans to be very intense and wants to devote a significant amount of time to studying, starting 3-4 months before the test may be more appropriate.
There is no easy answer to this question because each situation and student is different! Both are widely accepted at colleges across the US. See this US News & World Report article for a more thorough answer.
